Transformation Yoga offers a multi-faceted approach to maintaining wellness, peace and vitality.

Group classes/workshops and provide traditional yoga practice integrating:

  • invigorating asana (poses)
  • pranayama (breathwork)
  • meditation (quieting of the mind, calm focus)

Private Instruction may also pull elements from Ayurveda, Reiki, Energy Work, Yoga Therapy, Assisted Asana and numerous traditions of Meditation.  Private sessions are highly recommended if you are recovery from injury, would enjoy personalized attention to alignment, have strength building goals, or would appreciate specialized energetic balancing.
Our current clients range from 6 to 102 yrs old (seriously!!) Grandmas,  body-builders, couch-surfers, engineers, artists, athletes, brainiacs and mystics. We love all bodies.

Director: Michele Smith, E-RYT, 500hr – is a certified Usui Reiki Master Healer and an experienced Registered Yoga Alliance teacher with over 500 hours of training. Michele earned her Bachelors degree in International Business & Fine Art from the University of Tampa. Her advanced studies have included training and certification in Energy Work, Angelic Resonance Healing,  Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Ayurveda and the Subtle Body, Pranayama, Vedic Thai Yoga Assisted Asana, Yoga for Cancer survivors, Mudras and Mantras, Prenatal Yoga and Iyengar alignment techniques.

As an amateur dancer and dance instructor, Michele has a great appreciation for every body’s beauty, strength and athletic ability. After enduring a serious accident and subsequent surgeries, she discovered that yoga can have a profound effect in healing the physical body.
After a loved one was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Michele deepened her practice to explore spiritual connection and energy work while caring for him. When he passed a year later, her training and personal practice proved crucial to dealing with grief and all the swirling emotions that come with loss. This time became an investigation into how to care for the emotional and spiritual body. She has a strong commitment to explore new health modalities and sharing techniques and insights learned along the way.  One gift from this experience has been a passionate focus on crafting a life that FEELS good, from work to relationships to fun. 

As Director for Transformation Yoga, Michele creates workshops, classes and services that serve the health and wellness of the whole body, mind and spirit.
